Belvoir New Vision is the planning and development program by which Fort Belvoir will not only continue its tradition of excellent and innovative service, but will be developed into a world-class urban federal center; a flagship installation in America’s national security structure. Belvoir New Vision is also the program by which Fort Belvoir will work with the people and political representatives of surrounding communities to most effectively implement change – to get it right the first time.

Few other military installations in the world today compare with Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Fort Belvoir provides logistical and administrative support to almost 100 diverse agencies. With planned expansion and upgrading, Fort Belvoir will be well equipped to absorb the approximately 19,000 civilian and military personnel expected to be transferred, over the next 3 years, under the Defense Department’s Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) program. Army leadership at all levels is determined to make the planning and implementation process an inclusive one, with maximum input from all stakeholders. The Belvoir New Vision Planners (BNVP) will continue an aggressive outreach campaign that will focus both on internal DOD stakeholders, and the community outside the fence.
